Last Tuesday morning we got on Terry's bus out to the National Basketball Arena. We were on the first match and only had five minutes to get ready. We were playing against a Wicklow team. While we were playing Evan scored a goal and played the rest of the match. The score was one nil to us. Then we had to wait one hour till are next match . When that match was up we all ran down the stair's and the starting five went on ,and the subs sat on the bench . We were playing St. Joseph's boys from county Kilkenny. Evan and Brando scored in that game. When that match was over the score came to (two nil to us) we were waiting for an hour and fifteen minutes to the next match. We were playing with Evan right back, Brandon left back, Dylan in the middle,
Connor up front and Johnny in goal. We won in that match. After the game we had our lunch and the sir gave us oranges. Then we waited forty minutes for the next match. When we played the next game Dylan scored two, Connor scored one and Evan scored one. We all went the toilets because we were bursting. Then when we played the final we got bet two nil. We were all sulking however we were not crying, because crying is for babies. By Tyler
A big thanks to Barry and Thomas who took this team all the way in the FAI primary schools U10 Indoor Soccer 5-a-side competition. A big thanks also to all the boys' parents, football clubs and coaches. The standard of football played by the lads in the North Dublin section, Dublin finals and Leinster finals was really excellent for small men! Many thanks also to Christy Lockheed and all the other FAI coaches who organised this super competition. Our congratulations to Pope John Paul II National School, Malahide who won the competition, beating us 2-0 in the final. My greatest praise is reserved for the twelve Larriers - strong and proud - who made up this 5-a-side squad. You guys went three competitions and a total of twelve games undefeated in this tournament, not even conceding a goal in the rounds matches of the Leinster play offs. That is awesome and you guys played some beautiful football on the way. You ran out of gas in your last match, unlucky match number 13!!
Yiz are Larriers legends already! We are all very proud of you. By Mark
