Confession

Today I went to the church and made my confession. I was nervous at the start but when I went up I was not scared. I just told my sins to Fr. Deco on the altar and came back down. All of us went up. After, we said two Hail Marys. At the very end we said another two prayers. We looked in the confession box. There are two sides on it. You go in on one side and someone can go in on the other side!

My Day with St. Brigid By Travis

I remember that day well. It was Wednesday 1st Febuary 470. I woke up to gentle footsteps coming in my door. She had beautiful brown hair. She had rushes in her hand.
I asked her what she was doing. She replied, saying, "I am making a cross." I said "Who are you?" She said "I am ST.Brigid the nun." I said "I don't like nuns". Next she said" I'm not here to fight. I'm here to make peace . I'm making the cross to show you about Jesus." I said "You know that I am dying". St.Brigid said "I can get a cure for you." Then I said "If I live I will marry you even though you're a nun."
She went to her friend and got the cure. She gave it to me and I drank it. So I got up out of bed and kissed her. I said "Will you marry me?" She said "YES!" Then we both lived happily ever after.

At The Desert's Edge
This week we have been learning about the Presentation Brothers in Ghana. We watched a DVD Called ‘At Desert’s Edge’. It shows the educational system in Ghana. We learned that the children of Ghana have to walk 8 miles to get to school.
It takes them two and a half hours to get to school and it only takes us 5 minutes to get to school. They wear uniforms like us. They were uniforms because they have no proper clothes. We were uniforms so we don’t go missing or feel left out.
They get fed three times a week. We bring in our own lunch. They do all the same subjects we do. They do English, History, Religion and Maths.

At The Desert's Edge

Dear Diary,
Today I woke up at half five because I had to walk 8 miles.I had to step over stones. Our teacher's name is Br. Bernard. When I got home I had to do chores and plant seeds. The next day we learned how to spell hello in French.
After school we got rice and stew.I can't wait for next year because I will have new friends a new football and a new yard. All of my village is poor but we work together to get more money and more clothes. My friend, Joe, lives down the road. He goes to a different school and he lives a tough life because he gets bullied. By Kian McD

New Year's Resolutions!

Over the past week, we learned about New Year's Resolutions. We made some of our own resolutions. These are promises we make to ourselves to try and become better people. They have to be REALISTIC and ACHIEVABLE.
For example, Cameron has decided to cut down on Coke and David is going to ease off chocolate. Conor is going to excercise more and Tyrek has decided to practice soccer harder. I'm going to give up on slaggin my sister because it's not nice to slag.
By the end of the year, we will all be better people. Especially me.
